As eager as we are to return, we won’t rush coming back at the expense of the safety of everyone at our shows. Before we begin hosting Sofar shows again, local regulations must permit retail and event spaces to be open, and events of more than 50+ must be allowed indoors (even if our shows will not have that many people).
In addition, following a period of extensive research, we set our own approval criteria that must be met before a city can begin hosting shows. In each of our ticketed cities, we’re tracking the total number of cases, cases per capita, and the Reproduction number each week. Cases must be declining week on week for a minimum of four weeks, although we may require longer periods of stability or improvement depending on the impact of the virus in that region (and the surrounding area).
Even after a city has reopened, we’ll continue to monitor and may pause shows again if cases appear to be rising.
