Sofar is advancing one full show payment to all artists globally who had a Sofar event cancelled due to COVID-19. We know finances are tight for everyone and hope that this helps in some small way.
If you had multiple upcoming shows cancelled, we’re only able to pay you the advance for one. When it’s safe to do so, we’ll work with you to reschedule your show and get you back in front of a Sofar audience. Consider it an advance in the loosest of terms—when Sofar is up and running, we’ll work with you to re-book if and when you’re able to. We felt that it was more important to get you the payment now, when event cancellations are affecting so many artists.
We've contacted affected artists with more information on how to submit their details for payment. If you haven't heard from us or have questions, please get in touch.
Artists will be paid through our standard process—we’ll provide each artist with a unique link that is pre-filled with information, including the guaranteed rate of $100/100€/$100CAD/£75. Due to the high volume of payments, it may take up to 14 business days from submitting payment details for artists to receive their direct deposit.
If you already received 50% of the guarantee for your show because it was cancelled with short notice, you will have compensated the additional 50% automatically.
